*Kordellas ~ My mare is bred to this lovely imported stallion

TA TIRAN (Algonkwin X Tiranda by Bandos) finished 35th in the Tevis Cup. This is his 2nd year successfully completing the race.

(this is my lovely mare TA Tiara's maternal brother)

Dilly, you are beautiful--but you should see your first born--Kassidy--now three,

and what she has accomplished! Certified Therapy dog [Pets & People Foundation facebook pix],

now passed test to commence Hospice work; this year received her Junior [3rd year] certificate

from Harvard Canine Cognition Lab and returns again for Senior; works at agility and is told by

everyone who meets her how gorgeous and sweet she is. Truly, what a love she is! Thanks Dilly--

I am eternally grateful! Patricia. Find Kassidy on my page, Patreicia

Saddle Bred by Faye Taylor Oil ~ 16 x 20

Which one is saddle bred? The rider or the horse? Both. I had never seen such a lean, long-legged horse before used for roping calves let alone 1,300 lb. cows. But this horse, even though skinny and frail looking, still had so much heart that she worked like a quarter horse. The rider? Easily one of the best all around cowgirls I have ever met and definitely bred for the saddle. It is in her blood.

The Waiting Game by Faye Taylor Oil ~ 18 x 9

The Waiting Game
It was branding day, but we were waiting on some vaccine to arrive. This pretty little thing was the toughest cow hand out there. She does it all and looks great while doing it!

Rattler Wrangler by Faye Taylor Oil ~ 24 x 20

This painting was exceedingly fun for me. I like that it is of a scene that is common in ranch life, but rarely if ever portrayed in a painting. I was on a gather with this ranch manager who suddenly jumped off his horse and grabbed a stick to go after a rattler.
This cowboy is one of my heroes, whom I admire greatly.

Honky Tonkin Tuff

Hidalgo ...The Movie

Starring Viggo Mortensen, this action western movie, also stars a cast of 5 USA Paint (APHA) Horses,

in a turn of the century adventure story, based on the controversial author, endurance rider, Frank Hopkins.

It packs all the dust and tears of classic epic westerns like Lonesome Dove with the action of Lord of Rings,

with familiar faces of stars like Viggo Mortensen (Lord of Rings) and Omar Sharif (Dr. Zhivago).

 Some of the glamourous, heart stopping shots  of free running wild horses are actually HOA/SMR horses

literally bursting from corrals on Western USA reservation locations.   The four legged stars in the film,

trained by Rex Peterson, are RH Tecondender (son of To A Te), RJ Masterbug, Ima Stage Mount Two, Impressivelybetter, and Honky Tonkin Tuff (son of Destined To Be Tuff by Sunnybrooks Tuffy).

The action, filmed primarily in the Morocco desert, is typical Disney excellence.   Storyline: A turn of

the century, Western horse and rider, matches a crowd of beduoin endurance riders and encounters all

the perils of a free for all horse race across the desert.  The story line is artfully crafted by John Fusco

(Spirit and Young Guns) the leading writer of the western genre of our time.  Sure to be a classic...

 "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better,
Whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived
This is to have succeeded.
