God Saw

God saw he was getting tired

and a cure was not to be,

so he put his arms around him

and  whispered, "come with Me".

With tearful eyes we watched

him suffer and saw his joy fade away,

although we couldn't bear to lose him,

we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

hard working paws laid to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove

to us He only takes the best...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam.

And for a brief moment it's glory and beauty belong to the world.

But then it flies on again

And though we wish it could have stayed, We feel so lucky to have seen it.

When I must leave you for a little while
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through the years
But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you till they day you die!

CH Kamakazze arabain stallion photo

In Memory of CH Kamakazze

I'll lend you for a little while
My grandest foal, He said.
And morn for when he's dead.

It may be one or twenty years,
Or days or months, you see.
But will you, till I take him back
Take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his stay be brief
You'll have treasured memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught on earth
I want this foal to learn.

I've looked the wide world over
In my search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes
With trust, I have selected you.

Now will you give him your total love?
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come
To take him back again?
I know you'll give him tenderness
And love will bloom each day.
And for the happiness you've known
Forever grateful stay.

But should I come and call for him
Much sooner than you'd planned
You'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And someday you'll understand

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time that I would see you walk out
the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,

I would video tape each action and word, so I could play
them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute
or two, to stop and say that "I love you," Instead of assuming that
you KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
well, I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we
always get a second chance to make everything all right.

There will always be another day to say our "I love you's"
And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do's."

But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like
to say how much I love you and hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today
may be the last chance you get to hold your loved ones tight.

So, if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, a kiss,
And you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their
one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them, And that you'll always hold them

"Prayer is the answer to every problem in life. It puts us in tune with Divine Wisdom which

knows how to adjust everything perfectly.

So often we do not pray in certain situations because from out standpoint the outlook

is hopeless. But nothing is impossible with God.

Nothing is so entangled that it cannot be remedied. No human relationship  is too strained

for God to bring about reconciliation and understanding.

No habit is so deeply rooted that it cannot be overcome. No one is so weak that he cannot

be strong. No one is so ill that he cannot be healed. No mind is so dull that it cannot

be made brilliant.

Whatsoever we need or desire, if we trust God, He will supply it. If anything is causing

worry and anxiety, let us stop rehearsing the difficulty and trust God's healing, love, and power."

I've learned-that it's not what you have in your life but who you have
in your life that counts.
I've learned-that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when
it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned-that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned-that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best that others can do.
I've learned-that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned-that you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned-that you can keep going long after you THINK you can't.
I've learned-that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned-that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I've learned-that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and
have the best time.
I've learned-that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned-that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned-that true friendship continues to grow, even over the
longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I've learned-that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want
them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned-that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences
you've had and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how
many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned-that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt
you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned-that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned-that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world
doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned-that our background and circumstances may have influenced
who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned-that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they
don't love each other And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean
they do.
I've learned-that we don't have to change friends if we understand that
friends change.
I've learned-that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It
could change your life forever.
I've learned-that two people can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally different.
I've learned-that no matter how you try to protect your children, they
will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I've learned-that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by
people who don't even know you.
I've learned-that even when you think you have no more to give, when a
friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned-that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I've learned-that the people you care about most in life are taken from
you too soon.
I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is
be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned-that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned-that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to
destroy it.
I've learned-that you can do something in an instant that will give you
heartache for life.
I've learned-that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

"Hoci" March 2005

He will be greatly missed.

May I Go?

May I go now? Do you think the time is right?
May I say goodbye to pain filled days and endless
 lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best, an example tried to be. So can I take that

step beyond and set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first, I fought with all my might.
something seems to draw me now to a warm and living light.
I want to go I really do. It's difficult to
stay. But I will try as best I can to live just one more day.
To give you time to care for me and
share your love and fears.
I know you're sad and afraid, because I see your tears.
I'll not be far,
I promise that, and hope you'll always know that my spirit will be close to you wherever you may go.

Thank you for loving me.
You know I love you too, that's why it's hard to say goodbye and end
this life with you.
So hold me now just one more time and let me hear you say, because

you care so much for me, you'll let me go today.

Good -bye my trusted and beloved friend....
Well done, well done...Just rest now.

Don't cry for the horses
That life has set free
A million white horses
forever to be.

Don't cry for the horses
Now in God's hands
As they dance and they prance
To a heavenly band.

They were ours as a gift
But never to keep
As they close their eyes
Forever to sleep

Their spirits unbound
On silver wings they fly
A million white horses
Against the blue sky.

Look up into heaven
You'll see them above
The horses we loved
The horses we lost

Manes and tails flowing
They gallop through time
They were never yours
They were never mine.

Don't cry for the horses
They'll be back someday
When our day has come
They'll show us the way.

Do you hear the soft nicker
Close to your ear?
Don't cry for the horses
Love the ones that are here.

Dearest Creator in Heaven, give me strength to guide
my horse. Make my hands soft & my head clear. Let my
horse understand me & I him. My heart you have blessed
with a special love of these animals, let me never
lose sight of it.

My soul you have gifted with a deep need for them, let
that need never lessen. Always let my breath catch as
the sun gleams on an elegant head.

Always may my throat tighten at the sound of gentle
nicker. Let the scent of fresh hay & a new bag of
grain be sweet to me. Let the soft touch of a warm
nose on my hand always bring a smile. I adore the joy
of a warm day on the farm.

The grace & splendor of a running horse, the thunder
of it's hooves makes my eyes burn & my heart soar, let
it always be so. Dearest Creator grant me patience,
for horses are harnessed wind & wind can be flighty.
Let me not frighten or harm them, instead show me ways
to understand them. Above all, dear Creator, fill my
life with them. When I pass from this world, send my
soul to no heaven without them. For this love you have
given me graces my existence & I shall cherish it &
praise You for it for all time.

Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have.  For God has said,

"I will never fail you.  I will never forsake you."  That is why we can say with confidence,

"The Lord is my helper, so I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?"

  Hebrews 13: 3 - 8

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30

Some Sage advice from Will Rogers

1. Never slap a man who's chewing tobacco.

2. Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.

3. There are 2 theories to arguing with a woman...neither works.

4. Never miss a good chance to shut up.

5. Always drink upstream from the herd.

6. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

7. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back in your pocket.

8. There are three kinds of men. The ones that learn by reading, and the few

who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence.

9. Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

10. If you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it's still there.

11. Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it back.

12. AND FINALLY: After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good

he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him...

The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly
used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...

"Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy!!"

Courage is being scared to death--and saddling up anyway.

An Old Cowboy's Advice

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
Keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at a distance.
Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.
Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.
Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.
Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.
You cannot unsay a cruel word.
Every path has a few puddles.
When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
The best sermons are lived, not preached.
Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.
Don't judge folks by their relatives.
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.
Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.
Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror

every mornin'.
Always drink upstream from the herd.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.
If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

When I Am Old

I shall wear diamonds
And a wide brimmed straw hat
With Silver and Leather on it
And I shall spend my social security
On white wine and carrots
And sit in the alley of my barn
And listen to my horses breathe.
I will sneak out in the middle of a summers night
And ride the sorrel colt
Across the moonstruck meadow.
If my old bones will allow
And when people come to call I will smile and nod
As I walk them past the gardens to the barn
And show, instead, the beauty growing here
In stalls fresh-lined with straw
I will learn to shovel and sweat and
Wear hay in my hair as if it
were a jewel.
And I will be an embarrassment to all
Who look down on me.
Who have not yet found the peace in being free
To love a horse as a friend,
A friend who waits at midnight hour
With muzzle and nicker and patient eyes
For the kind of woman I will be
When I am

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added,?  "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?

Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

"Life is too short and friends are too few."

Good things.

I'm not sure who wrote this but the message is incredible! This is
worth passing on, printing, framing and applying most-- if not all of it.

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good and certainly beats the alternative!
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God - He can take it.
9 Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.
14 If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God
never blinks.
16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get
busy dying.
17. You can get through anything if you stay put in today.
18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one
is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take "no"
for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.
Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26 Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years,
will this matter?"
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your family
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you
did or didn't do.
35. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
36. Growing old beats the alternative! -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. Read the Psalms. They cover every human emotion.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's,
we'd grab ours back.
41. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
42. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joy
43. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
45. The best is yet to come.
46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
48. If you don't ask, you don't get.
49. Yield.
50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's
still a gift.

You never know when God is going to bless you! Good things happen when you least expect them to.

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank You for me being able to walk, talk, see and to hear this morning. I am blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind so that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things that I have no control over.

Praying is the best response for me when I am pushed beyond my limits.

I know that when I cannot pray, You listen to my heart anyway. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and for those who cannot find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who do not know You intimately. I pray for those that will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those that do not believe.

Nevertheless, I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member and their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes and that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.

Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.

God Bless!

Just repeat this phrase and see how God moves!

My Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, please.

Know that the person who sent this to you continually prays for you.
